Services

At Heartstrings Counselling, we offer telehealth counselling services based on evidence based practice. Our sessions are tailored to suit your individual needs to support you on your mental health journey.

We aim to provide a safe, warm, non-judgemental, and welcoming space where we can unpack your story, your thoughts and feelings.

We are currently also working to expand our counselling services to in-person to offer more ways to support you.

Evidence-based Practice

At Heartstrings Counselling, we specialise in a set of evidence-based modalities integrated and tailored for you, to help you meet your goals and overcome personal challenges.

  • A structured, goal-oriented approach that helps identify and modify negative thought patterns and behaviours. CBT improves adaptability to stressful situations, implements healthier coping strategies, and addresses negative perceptions of ourselves and the challenges we face.

  • We collaboratively examine and deconstruct the narratives that may be distressing or limiting growth. We aim to reauthor our own stories, or construct new meanings in relation to stories that may emerge in therapy. We emphasises the power of our personal narrative in shaping our identity and experiences.

  • An evidence-based approach that aims to strengthen emotional bonds between individuals by addressing underlying attachment needs and patterns. We aim to identify and address negative patterns of interaction that lead to conflict and emotional distance in interpersonal relationships. Through exploration of underlying emotions and attachment needs, individuals learn to communicate more effectively, express vulnerability in a safe space, and foster a deeper emotional connection.

    Our sessions will be dedicated to assessing your current needs and creating a personalized plan to fit your journey, needs, and goals.

    Everyone has their own personal.goals and hurdles. I’ll work closely with you to help identify and overcome life’s obstacles.

  • Integrated

    Modalities aren’t one size fits all. We will use helpful strategies adapted from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Emotionally Focussed Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to create a tailored and effective plan.

  • Adaptive

    Life can be unpredictable. We tailor our approach to prepare you for life’s uncertainties and challenges. We offer flexibility in our approach and can refocus at any time on more pressing issues you are facing currently which need to be addressed sooner.
